Stephanie Jean PoncageThe art of delicacy

At the corner of a beautiful traditional farm in the village of Faucon de Barcelonnette, the workshop “Tourelles’Faience” opens on the delicate porcelain universe. In the right wing of the farm, the vast workshop Stephanie Jean is tastefully decorated, displaying pieces with finely fringed grounds: tableware, decorative plates, perforated cuts, lamp stands, bathroom sets, gift announcement, antique pieces of art prints … from lavender blue cobalt blue, shades of blue prevail. “It’s a color I love working and I master, a graphic color I readily associated with compounds of ocher and green polychrome, dear to Moustier school,” says Stephanie absorbed in a setting lavender. We can only admire balance and symmetry that structure his compositions.

Ceramics at the service of Mother Nature

pierettelascombesbiscuitCreation of perennial flowers

Sempervivum tectorum, Alpine Columbine, Wild Pansies (Heartsease), lilies, Queen of the Alps … In love with the Alpe, Jeanne Pierrette Lascombe shaping ceramic flowers whose mimicry of shapes and colors makes it feel lifeklike. Subtle details would almost make smell the evanescent fragrance that captivates the senses. The rustle of a leaf, the inclination of a petal, or dance with a rod expresses the fragility of the flowers of the Alpe. An ode to biodiversity, beyond the ephemeral seasons, far from the ridges where it flourishes a short time, brought the alpine flora in a more eternal reign, that of art. An art that helps to protect endangered species.Atelier de Pierrette Lascombes – Villars-de-la-Condamine – Boutique à Jausiers
